I woke up with a cry

The feeling of tears on my face

Darkness became my only light

As I cradle myself back to sleep

 

And then as I close my eyes

The bitter sweet sound of my pounding heart

I felt a sudden loneliness

A feeling of want to stay

 

I knew that people come and go

But I also knew no one stays the same

I have to part from you someday

Then forget that you even had a friend
